The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is the only American vintage race run on city streets - the way sports car racing began. The PVGP is synonymous with Schenley Park and 2009 will mark the 27th consecutive year racing through the beautiful park setting. Vintage racing at Schenley Park is the culmination of a 10-day Race Week highlighted by Historic Races at BeaveRun, numerous car shows, cruises, a Blacktie Gala, and our Kickoff Road Rallye.

Walnut Street Invitational Car Show
Nestled on Shadyside's charming Walnut Street were a sampling of rare, classic and exotic cars. This long running show features the region's finest and most unique vehicles. Cars were invited to display by invitation only – so this promised to include show cars rarely seen at other car shows and cruises. Walnut Street is located only minutes from Schenley Park where the Combined car show and races occur a few days later.

The Grand Prix's Walnut Street Car Show is an exclusive event held in Shadyside, in the heart of Pittsburgh's East End. Shadyside is a residential neighborhood with a village-like feel with Walnut Street as its prosperous commercial and entertainment core. Walnut Street offers a bustling atmosphere of boutiques, shops, lounges, and restaurants designed to suit the discriminating tastes of residents and visitors. Shadyside is popular with a mix of affluent families, young professionals, artists and students.
