1963 Austin Mini Countryman Sedan

Designed as a addition to the famous 'mini' line from the British Motor Corporation the Countryman wagon, and its twin version from Morris known as the Travellor, were for the Englishman who needed just a bit more room. As a deluxe export version this car sports the triple gauge dash and chrome over-riders on the front bumpers. The wood trim was to give the car the classic 'estate' look that only the true British Squire could appreciate. Made of stout English Ash the wood is merely ornamental. Not having wood trim was the Option!

This car wasn't to be the sports car of the line so it came with the standard 850cc motor sitting atop a four-speed transmission. The transmission and engine share the same oil. A single 1.25-inch SU carburetor handles the fuel to the engine. Unlike the Cooper S version, this car rides on a somewhat more conventional suspension.

This example has been in the same family since 1989. It still has the original interior and required only a coat of paint when 'restored.'
