1926 Duesenberg Model A Navigation
The straight eight-cylinder engine powering this car displaces 259.6 cubic inches and produces 88 horsepower. The wheelbase measures 134 inches and costs $6650 when new. It has four-wheel hydraulic brakes, a first time in an American production vehicle, and a custom-built phaeton body by Millspaugh and Irish.
The Model A was an important car in the company's history, as it was the first passenger vehicle to bear the Duesenberg name. Building on their success in racing and engine manufacture, a prototype Model A was introduced in November of 1920. Production would not hit full steam until 1922.
