1936 Packard Model 1405 Super Eight Phaeton

The 14th Series Packard Super 8 model 1405 rode on a wheelbase that measured 144 inches. The L-head straight-eight engine displaced 384.4 cubic inches and offered 150 horsepower. There was a three-speed selective synchromesh transmission and mechanical brakes on all four wheels.

This Packard Phaeton with coachwork by Dietrich is one of only three cars built with only two surviving. It has a highly raked windshield design and seating for seven. It served as a parade car in Franklin D. Roosevelt's second inaugural parade carrying four cabinet members. It also competed in the 1986 Great American Car Race while owned by Tom Monahan of pizza fame.
