1961 Cadillac Series 62 DeVille Navigation
The 1961 Cadillac models were touted by the company as 'a totally new concept in fine-car design.' Design inspiration was sourced from the 1959 Cadillac LeMans 'dream car.' The 1961 models had lower rear fins (or 'skegs'), and a sharp-edged roofline. There were eleven models offered by Cadillac in 1961. Standard features included a 390 cubic-inch, 325 horsepower, V8 engine mated to a Hydra-Matic drive and an X-shaped chassis frame. Cadillac would produce 138,379 vehicles with 20,156 examples being the Coupe de Ville.
