1951 Allard K2 Navigation
This K2 Roadster is finished in red and fitted with beige leather upholstery. It is a fully restored example and retains the original, racing-specification 1951 Oldsmobile V8 engine, which was bored to 330 cubic inches and topped by an Edmunds intake manifold mounting a pair of two-barrel carburetors. The transmission is a factory-installed circa-1950 Mercury unit with overdrive. The car rides on a set of chrome knock-off wire wheels, sporting Brooklands-type windscreens, a tachometer, and a 'banjo' steering wheel.
In 2010, this K2 Roadster was offered for sale at the Vintage Motor Cars of Meadow Brook where it was estimated to sell for $120,000 - $130,000. As bidding came to a close, the car was sold for the sum of $90,000 including the buyer's premium.By Daniel Vaughan | Aug 2010
