Only three Talbot-Lago T26 Cabriolets were built with a Worblaufen body, and all three are different. Worblaufen was one of the most important Swiss coachbuilders for passenger cars. It produced many elegant cabriolets and roadsters on prewar Isotta-Fraschini, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, and Bugatti chassis. After World War II, they worked on Talbot Lago, Delahaye, Bentley, and Lancia. The sporty chassis of the Talbot-Lago T26 was a favorite of European coachbuilders; other examples were bodied by Figoni et Falaschi and Saoutchik.
The T26 Rekord Cabriolet has a 4.5-liter, 6-cylinder engine and a Wilson pre-selector gearbox that was used in both Talbot race and road cars.
