1968 ISO Fidia S4 Navigation
This 1968 ISO S4 sedan was originally purchased by the engineering department of General Motors' Chevrolet Division, where it was used by Zora Arkos-Duntov, Bill Mitchell, and John DeLorean as a benchmark vehicle.
Giotto Bizzarrini was quite likely a consultant on this Iso S4 and probably served as a test driver as well. This is the earliest known example of the Iso S4. It is powered by a Chevrolet Corvette 327 cubic-inch V-8. Production figures are estimated at 188 automobiles.
After serving its purpose for Chevrolet, the car was relegated to a Detroit area junkyard, where it was rescued by the current owner, an automobile designer, and restored.
The Iso S4 was described to the motoring public in its marketing materials as both 'the world's fastest four-seater' as well as 'the world's most exotic four-seater.'
