1942 Crosley CB-42 Navigation
The Crosley Liberty was the only pre-World War Two Crosley built with an all-steel top. Because of the war restrictions on chrome, the hub caps and bumpers were painted.
Of the 1,029 Crosleys built during the war-shortened 1942 production year, only 30 were Liberty Sedans. Because of gas rationing, Crosley met defense economy demands with its 35-50 miles per gallon.
The Crosley Liberty is powered by a 35 cubic-inch, two-cylinder Waukesha motor that develops 12 horsepower.
The current owner acquired the car in July 2009. Restoration began immediately and was completed in the summer of 2009.
