The Giardiniera model, meaning 'gardener' was a compact station wagon built by Fiat's in-house Carrozzerie Speciali operation. Some had real wood on the exterior while others simply had stamped metal panels that could be painted in contrasting colors or treated in the manner of faux timber.
The 500C would remain in production through 1954 and replaced by the all-new unitary 600. By the time production ceased, more than 375,000 examples of the 'C' model had been produced. There were 122,000 basic and 'B' models produced.
This example has been restored while retaining originality throughout.
