1910 Zimmerman Model H Navigation
This Zimmerman Runabout was originally owned by John Zimmerman, who became company president and later was purchasing agent for the Auburn Automobile Company. This is a very rare and original car and is the only known Zimmerman example that was produced with a shaft drive. The second owner of the car was the grandmother of the current owner. Mrs. Crofford of Burr Oak, Michigan was a doctor who used this car for her house calls. Since the car was used, she was able to purchase it from Zimmerman for the sum of $190. The car has been maintained and cared for by the family since May 25th of 1910.
The engine is a two-cylinder, horizontally opposed, air-cooled unit that displaces 142 cubic inches and produces twelve horsepower. The wheelbase measures 80 inches.By Daniel Vaughan | Oct 2010
