2005 Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin Concept Truck

The Ford Special Vehicle Team was responsible for the production of the Sport Trac Adrenalin concept. It was a comfortable four-passenger pickup cab with full-size doors and four-foot bed, in a mid-sized sport utility vehicle. It was light-weight, that had excellent driving dynamics with well-balanced all-around performance. The 4.6-liter DOHC V8 engine was supercharged and offered 390 horsepower. The Adrenalin uses the DOHC version of the 4.6-liter engine created for the 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra. Four-valve aluminum cylinder heads give optimum air flow; a Roots-type supercharger and air-to-water intercooler dial up 390 bhp and a matching 390 lb-ft of torque. Mated to the engine was a six-speed automatic first used in the Lincoln Navigator. Full-time all-wheel drive had a 40/60 front-rear torque split, with the rear bias delivering power where it's needed under full throttle.

In 2010, this vehicle was offered for sale at the 'Sports & Classics of Monterey' presented by RM Auctions. The car was estimated to sell for $30,000 - $50,000 and offered without reserve. As bidding came to a close, the car had been sold for the sum of $57,750 inclusive of buyer's premium.
