1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Concept Navigation
Pontiac introduced a Trans Am Kamback Sport Wagon at the 1977 Chicago Auto Show. There were hopes that the design would make it into production with the bodies being built in the United States by Batista Pininfarina with a targeted price of $18,500. Pontiac produced two examples and both were used as show cars.
The back half glass windows of this sporty 'wagon' are gull-wing operating. The interior is trimmed in leather and the engine is a 403 cubic-inch V8 offering 185 horsepower. The drivetrain configuration is similar to other factory-built Trans Am vehicles.
