From 1960 through 1967, Mini's were sold in the United States, but never in very large numbers. It is believed that around 50,000 examples were sold during that period. Mini's were sold in Canada until 2000.
This Mini Cooper is powered by a overhead valve four-cylinder engine breathing through one SU carburetor and displacing 998cc and developing 55 horsepower. It has a Mini-Cooper short gear shifter, full-width wooden dashboard, and windup windows. There are twin Cibie fog-lights, Mini-Lite mags and fender flares and was repainted in original green with a white top years ago.
In 2011, this Austin Mini was offered for sale at the RM Auction sale in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was estimated to sell for $12,000 - $17,000 and offered without reserve.
