1959 Aston Martin Mark III Saloon

Only a few of the hand-built Aston martin DB Mark III made their way to the United States during their brief production run in the late 1950s. This vehicle was in the care of the same owner for fifty-one years. The Saloon wears coachwork by Tickford and powered by a 2922cc DOHC six-cylinder engine. The car has its original Biscuit leather upholstery, jack, hammer and fitted tool set as well as the original, leather-bound instruction book complete with an early mileage log.

There were only 462 Mark III Saloons produced and fewer than half were left-hand-drive versions.

In 2010, the car was sold to a New York City collector. In 2011, the car was offered for sale at the Gooding & Company auction in Scottsdale, Az. It was estimated to sell for $200,000 - $250,000. As bidding came to a close, the car had been sold for the sum of $176,000 including buyer's premium.
