1950 Abarth 205 Navigation
Austrian-born tuning expert Karl (Carlo) Abarth built the Abarth 205 sport coupe between 1950 and 1951. Only three examples were constructed.
Abarth was a three-time motorcycle champion and a talented engineer. Abarth had been laid off from bankrupt Cisitalia but continued to race their cars.
This Abarth 205, chassis number 205-103, was the third car built and the Turin Auto Show car. It participated in the 1951 Mille Miglia and was imported to the United States in 1956. The second owner of this car had it from 1968 until purchased by the current owner. The car was found in extremely complete and original condition with the original engine and trim. An 18-month restoration focused on originality and presentation.
