The SS100 was developed for racing, by the Swallow Sidecar Company, which was initially a saloon car manufacturer. Thanks to Harry Weslake's overhead valve design the SS100 developed 30 bhp more than its predecessor the SS90. This car purchased by Ada Wilshaw of England, was one of 300 built before World War II stopped production. The postwar Jaguar-badged cars were its direct descendants.By Daniel Vaughan | Sep 2011
