    1922 Winton Model 40 Navigation
Built in Cleveland from 1896 to 1924, the Winton company was one of the true automotive pioneers and, perhaps more than any company, was responsible for launching the automobile industry in the United States.

This Winton touring car was owned for several years (1951-54) by Alexander Winton Jr., son of the company founder. It remains essentially as built in 1922.

It features a 348 cubic-inch, six-cylinder T-head motor that develops 70 horsepower. The wheelbase is 132 inches. The price new in 1922 was $4,600.
