1933 Chrysler CQ Series Imperial Convertible Sedan

The Imperial CQ was the smaller sibling to the Imperial CL and rested on a nine-inch shorter wheelbase. Introduced in December 1932, it was a more economical alternative to the CL. Sharing design cues with its bigger sibling, the CQ had sweeping fenders, a raked V-type radiator, single-bar bumpers, and a hood with door-type cooling vents.

The Chrysler CQ convertible sedans rested on a 126-inch wheelbase and weighed 4,144 pounds. The engine was 298 cubic inches and rated 108 horsepower. It became part of the Imperial line-up in 1933. Standard equipment included a vacuum clutch, Delco Remy ignition, Lockheed hydraulic brakes, free-wheeling, dual wipers, dual taillights, external trumpet horns, and suicide-hinged doors.
