The current caretaker of this factory-bodied three-position drophead cabriolet Type T23 purchased the car in the mid-2000s. Prior to the acquisition, the car had been completely restored in 1998 and finished in the two-tone blue with burgundy leather interior. A re-commissioning was performed on the carburetor, brakes, electrics and ignition in 2007.
Powering the T23 is a 4208cc six-cylinder engine fitted with twin Solex carburetors offering 115 horsepower. There is a four-speed BV Wilson manual transmission and four-wheel drum brakes.
In 2012, the car was offered for sale by RM Auctions at their Monaco sale. It had a pre-auction estimated sale price of €140.000-€180.000. Bidding reached €100.000 but was not enough to satisfy the vehicle's reserve. It would leave the auction unsold.By Daniel Vaughan | Jun 2012
