1971 Porsche 911 Navigation
Two years after production commenced, Porsche began offering upgrades to the Porsche's 911. The 'S' featured a heavily revised engine producing 160 horsepower. A lengthened wheelbase arrived in 1969 and improved the vehicle's handling. In 1970, the 911's air-cooled, flat-six engine underwent the first of many enlargements - to 2.2 litres. By this point in history, the 911 was available as the 911T, 911E, and 911S, all of which were available as either a closed coupé or Targa convertible.
A common type of cylinder head was adopted when the 2.2-liter engine arrived. The different power outputs was determined mostly by valve timing rather than valve sizes.
The 911E was positioned between the entry-level 'T' and the top-of-the-range 'S'. In upgraded 2.2-liter form, the 911E produced 155 bhp (DIN).
This 911E 2.2-liter Coupe has a manual transmission and is described as partially restored. It is finished in Porsche gold with brown/black interior, the odometer displays a total of 58,541 kilometers.
