This is the 50th Porsche built. It represents one of the last Porsches built in Gmund Austria. The first Gmunds were built in a sawmill in this village in Austria and are the beginning of Porche's production before they moved to Stuttgart, Germany. The body is made entirely of aluminum except the doors, where are steel. It is powered by a modified Volkswagen 1100cc engine with produces 29 horsepower. This car was delivered to Scandia Vibus in Sweden where it rallied and was ice raced in the early 1950s. After multiple owners and one restoration in Sweden it was imported to the United States in the mid-1980s. There are approximately 28 Gmunds known to exist today.
