1976 Tyrrell P34

This car, chassis number P34/2, was the first all-new Tyrrell P34 and was one of the six P34 cars built for the 1976 and 1977 Formula 1 season. It was used by Patrick Depailler in the model's debut race and through the remainder of the 1976 season. It also raced during the two opening races of 1977. The car finished second on three occasions and came in third twice.

During the 1976 season, Chassis 2 had four podium finishes. Its most notable being a 2nd place at the Swedish Grand Prix where the Tyrrell team finished 1-2, taking the only win for a 6-wheel Grand Prix car. For 1977, the car was upgraded with a new and more aerodynamic body. Other modifications included increased brake cooling and two oil coolers in the front wing.

After the car's racing career, it was purchased by Tom Wheatcroft for his Donnington Collection. It remained in original condition until 2010 when it was purchased by the current owner and then treated to a no expense spared restoration by WDK Motorsport.

The car is currently in its 1977 livery and racing configuration.
