1919 McFarlan Type 125 Navigation
The McFarlan Carriage Company was founded in 1856, and early McFarlans proved themselves in distance races such as the 200-mile race at Indianapolis. Few McFarlans were actually built as the company would often only complete one car a day. Consequently, McFarlans were the most expensive cars made in the United States and were called the 'American Rolls-Royce.'
This 1919 McFarlan was originally owned by Wallace Reid, one of Hollywood's leading film stars. Reid appeared in 180 movies alongside screen goddesses Gloria Swanson, Lillian Gish, and Geraldine Farrar.
