This 589 cubic-inch, 4-cylinder Italian fiat is believed to be the one driven to second place in the 1912 Indianapolis 500 by renowned American road racers Teddy Tetzlaff and Caleb Bragg. The Fiat S61 Corsa was made famous by drivers such as American pioneer racer David Bruce-Brown, who drove a Fiat S61 to third place in the first Indianapolis 500. It wasn't only in America that the 10-liter, 4-cylinder, chain-driven Fiat was successful. Victor Hemery won the French Grand Prix in 1911 in a Fiat S61, and ten years later, these Fiats were still winning international races.
