1934 Chevrolet Standard Series DC Navigation
A Chevrolet three-window coupe was not an uncommon vehicle in 1934. In fact, 16,765 of them were built that year. The total production for the DC series was 99,499 vehicles. The 1934 Standard models remained mostly unchanged. They received several minor updates including a new longer hood with horizontal streamlined louvers. Improvements were made to the No-Draft ventilation system.
This Chevrolet is special because it is an unrestored car. Many Chevrolet coupes found their way into the hands of hot rodders and the remaining cars were usually restored.
The 1934 Chevrolets were powered by Chevrolet's dependable 'Cast Iron Wonder,' its six-cylinder engine that developed 60 horsepower from 181 cubic inches. The big news for 1934 was Chevrolet's adoption of 'knee action' suspension, which kept them competitive with their top rivals, Plymouth and Ford.
