In this first year of production, Powell Crosley (formerly a manufacturer of radios and other home appliances) set about building and producing a novel small car. The practicality and efficiency of the early 2-cylinder air-cooled engines would prove to be something of a challenge, but these early years of development would set the course for many innovations to come once our nation was out of the war.

Sold at roughly a 'Dollar a pound' (weighing in at 890 lbs), a pre-war Crosley is a rare sight indeed as many have not survived the ravages of time.

This particular example was stored in Illinois for more than 35 years before being discovered and treated to a restoration.
