1989 Ferrari 328 GTS Targa Coupe

The Ferrari 328 succeeded the popular 308 four-cam and brought with it an increased displacement V-8 and a myriad of detail changes throughout. The mid-engined 328, one of the last Ferraris engineered and launched during Enzo Ferrari's lifetime, came as both a hardtop (GTB) and Targa/Spider (GTS) forms. The 3.2-liter V-8 engine produced 270 horsepower with the help of a Marelli electronic ignition system and the retained Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system. Zero-to-sixty took just 5.9 seconds with a top speed for the 328 GTS in the neighborhood of 163 mph.

This Ferrari 328 GTS is one of the last examples produced. The car has been hidden away for more than two decades, not seeing the light of day. It is a U.S. model that was purchased new at Kessler Motors, In New York, on June 16th of 1989. It had 99 delivery miles from the factory. The car was taken by flatbed to a climate-controlled New York garage. It was started and looked after but never moved from its resting place, until being discovered in February of 2012. When inspected, the odometer showed 105 miles, and the condition was immaculate. This car has a very rare factory option of red carpet and comes with the original toolkit, roadside kit, and spare tire and wheel.

In 2012, the car was offered for sale at the Monterey, CA sale presented by RM Auctions. The car was estimated to sell for $120,000-$140,000. As bidding came to a close, the car had been sold for the sum of $159,500 inclusive of buyer's premium.
