The BMW 850 CSi was available for only two years and BMW only released 225 examples in America. They were built by BMW Motorsport and was as close to the unreleased M8 prototype. Power came from a BMW S70 5.6-liter V12 that offered 380 horsepower and 402 lb/ft of torque. Zero-to-sixty took just 5.7 seconds. This was the same engine - in modified form - that was used to power the McLaren F1.
The BMW 850 CSi was available with a 6-speed manual. To aide with handling, BMW equipped the 850CSI with stiffer springs and dampers. They also lowered the ride height and reshaped its bumpers to help with aerodynamic performance.
