1981 Rolls-Royce Corniche II Convertible Coupe

The Rolls-Royce Corniche was a revised version of the H.J. Mulliner, Park Ward-bodied two-door variants of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T-Series saloons. The Corniche was introduced in March of 1971 and powered by a 6.7-liter V8 engine that produced around ten percent more power than standard. Top speed was in excess of 120 mph. The Corniche/Continental benefited from the regular up-dates and improvements made to the contemporary Silver Spirit range. Production of the Corniche continued well into the 1990s, with the last Convertible example delivered in 1995.

This example was ordered new into Canada and then transferred to the Carriage House Motor Cars for resale. Twelve years later, the Corniche was purchased by the current owner from a dealership in Long Island, New York, by which time it had covered 60,000 kms.

The car has been treated to a repaint after a prior repaint had proved unsuccessful. The car has new leather on the front seats and a new top.

In 2013, the car was offered for sale at the Bonhams Auction in Scottsdale Arizona. The car was sold for the sum of 32,200 including buyer's premium.
