This 1964 Ferrari 250 LM was bodied by Piero Drogo and known as a 'long nose.' It is one of three 250 LMs with left-hand-drive configuration and was originally sold to Irene Gaessly of Rome, Italy. It was raced extensively in Italy by numerous drivers, including Sergio Bettoja. Mario Casoni drove this 250 LM in August of 1964 to victory over the AC Shelby Cobra Daytona in the final World Championship race of the season. Its final race in period was in the fall of 1968.
After its racing career concluded, the car was purchased by Tom Meade and was exported to North America. Later owners include Paul Pappalardo and Brandon Wang. The current caretaker acquired the Ferrari in 1998.By Daniel Vaughan | Sep 2023
