1992 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet

The third generation 911 - model number 964, externally differed from its predecessors only slightly in appearance. Most noticeable are its aerodynamic bumpers and automatically extending rear spoiler, but internally it was almost completely different. Designed to captivate drivers not only with sporty performance but also with enhanced comfort, the 964 series came with ABS brakes, power steering, and airbags, and rode on a completely redesigned chassis with light alloy control arms and coil springs instead of the previous torsion-bar suspension.

This example is the 1992 Porsche 911 Cabriolet America Roadster. The 40th Anniversary Commemorative Edition celebrates the 1952 Porsche 352 America Roadster. Only 250 of these Roadsters were made between 1992 and 1993. This example is one of four painted in the unique and rare color combination of Raspberry Red Metallic with Raspberry Full Leather interior and a special matching Leather 'Boot Cover.' Another great feature about this extremely rare Porsche is that it is a Factory Turbo Look (FTL) Cabriolet with Turbo wheels, suspension and brakes. Its air-cooled 3.6 liter boxer engine delivered 247 horsepower. This 911 was special ordered and was delivered to its local owner during May of 1992 and it has 1,200 original miles.
