1934 MG N-Type NA Navigation
BLL 492, is one of the most famous MG's produced. Custom built on a bodiless NA chassis by engineer and ace race mechanic Wilkie Wilkinson for owner Doreen Evans, just 18 years old; one of the most noted female rally drivers of the time. It is one of three Trials/Rally Specials built for the Evans family. Doreen's car proved successful for her in the 1934 and 1935 rally seasons, including a first-in-class award in the 1935 R.A.C. Rally in Eastbourne, England. (BLL 491 driven by her brother Kenneth, BLL 493 driven by brother Denis, and Doreen's BLL 492).
This car is powered by a six-cylinder, 120 horsepower, supercharged, lightweight, specially tuned engine, featuring an ENV preselector 4-speed gearbox - a predecessor to the automatic transmission.
The current owner successfully finished the 2003 Mille Miglia and the Colorado Grand three times with this car.
