Along with the popular Simplex 50 HP, Simplex also developed a larger 90 HP model. The most significant differences between these models were an increase in the bore for the 671 cubic-inch 4-cylinder engine and larger valves, both contributing to the car's greater performance. This car is one of three Nineties that survive, the other two being Speedsters. This touring body, called a Double Roadster, offers four bucket seats and little else in the way of protection for the vulnerable occupants, especially at the factory-guaranteed speed of 90 mph.
