1960 Aston Martin DB4 GT Navigation
One year after the Aston Martin DB4 debuted, the DB4 GT competition car was launched. Designed to break Ferrari's GT-racing stronghold, the DB4 GT was built for both the works team and privateers. Under the Touring-styled body several modifications distinguished the GT from the standard DB4; it featured twin plugs and three twin-choke Weber carburetors and had a power output of 302 BHP.
This DB4 GT was delivered to John Ogier's works-supported Essex Racing Stable in 1960 and its first race at Goodwood to a 3rd place finish driven by Innes Ireland. From that time to the present this Aston martin has had a virtually unbroken race career. It has been in the hands of its current owner for nearly 30 years.
