    1933 Morgan Super Sport Navigation
F.S. Morgan, the founder of the Morgan Motor Co., Ltd., introduced his first three-wheeler model in 1909 (powered by a 7-horsepower Peugeot engine). On the sporting side the Runabout continued to uphold its reputation, winning race after race, for example at Brooklands. In 1930, driving a 1100cc J.A.P. racer, Mrs. Gwenda Stewart broke the Hour Record at a speed of over 100 MPH.

In 1927 Morgan built an Aero with a tuned engine and modified bodywork, it was called a Super Sports Aero or 'Super Sports' and the SS was produced through 1939. In 1931 he brought out a model with three speeds and reverse, one chain and detachable wheels. Previously, all models had two-chain drive giving two speeds. In 1933-1935 engines changed from J.A.P. to Matchelss MX, MX2 and MX4 and body style from Beetleback to Barrelback.
