1976 Porsche 912E Coupe

The Porsche 911 E, with designation 923 using the G-body, was introduced to the North American market in 1976 to bridge the 'entry level' gap left by the departure of the 914 and the future arrival of the front-engine 924. 2,100 (some sources say 2092) cars were made between May 1975 and July 1976 making them pretty rare today. The motor was a 2-liter, 85 horsepower Volkswagen air-cooled boxer with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection. Once dismissed as a 'mistake,' perhaps like all 912s, today it's well understood and loved as are the earlier cars.

The 912E (E for Einspritzung—fuel injection) is based on the Porsche 911S of that year.

This example has been in the care of its original owner its entire life.
