1977 Lincoln Continental Sedan

Lincoln introduced the Versailles for 1977. It was a downsized response to Cadillac's successful 'European-size' Seville. The Versailles showed the path that American luxury would take in the next two decades, and it sold 15,434 examples. Though the Versailles was successful and groundbreaking, it was outsold that year - by a factor of 400% - by the Continental, Lincoln's traditional luxury sedan. It offered a roomy six-passenger interior, a 460-cubic-inch V8, and state-of-the-art comfort.

This Lincoln Continental has covered just 30,000 miles and is in excellent original condition. It was delivered to Dave Pyles Lincoln/Mercury, of Annandale, Virginia. The body is finished in Midnight Blue, with a Blue Valino vinyl roof and an interior in red leather and vinyl. Options include opera windows, an automatic transmission, a headlamp convenience group, illuminated door sills, whitewall tires, a defroster, cruise control, a tilt steering column, and an eight-track stereo system.
