1947 Ford Super Deluxe Navigation
This Ford Super DeLuxe Sportsman has Tiger Maple, also known as Curly Maple. It is rarer than the Birdseye Maple, which has circular aberrations resembling birds' eyes. Tiger Maple has wavy lines, which are created by the undulation of the fibers and not the grain. This wood is commonly reserved for musical instruments and fine furniture and was seldom used on automobiles. This car has about 13 pieces of it, principally in the rear quarters.
The car is finished in Maize Yellow which is a very light hue, almost beige. The upholstery is red leather. The dashboard is original and completely unrestored.
