1988 Ferrari 328 GTB Coupe

The Ferrari 308 GT4 was introduced in 1973 and served as a replacement for the V6-powered 246 Dino. The 308GT4 was given an all-new DOHC V8 engine which displaced just under three liters. The 308 range included the GTB (berlinetta) and GTS (targa-top) models and would become the most commercially successful Ferrari model to date by the late 1970s.

For 1985, the 308 GTB and GTS models were given a larger V8 engine, and the introduction of a number of styling improvements. The 328 was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show and featured a redesigned radiator grill, bumpers painted in the body color, and a redesign of the classic, five-spoke star alloy wheels.

This particular example was built in September of 1988. It was destined for the US market and finished example as it appears in modern times. It is painted in Rosso Corsa red over a biscuit leather interior. Over the four-year model run, just 1,345 328GTB berlinettas were built versus 6,068 GTS targas.

The first owner of this car was a Houston, Texas resident who took possession in March of 1989. It is believed that the car remained in a dry storage facility until the early 2000's. It was then purchased by its second owner. At the time, the car showed just over 1,300 miles. In 2010, it was purchased by another individual. Currently, the car has just over 7,000 miles since new.
