1993 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe Z-28

In 1993, the redesigned Camaro was selected as the Indy pace car, becoming the first car to hold the honor four times. This was Chevrolet's ninth appearance at the Brickyard. The Camaro Indy pace car was basically stock, powered by a 5.7-liter 275 horsepower V8 engine and fitted with a Corvette 4-speed automatic transmission, as well as assorted safety features. The 1993 Indy Pace Car was driven by Chevrolet general manager Jim Perkins, who had previously driven the 1990 Beretta.

Chevrolet built just 645 Camaro Z28 Indy replicas with 125 of those used at the speedway. This particular example, chassis number 2G1FP22P3P2106777, is #113. It is a low mileage example that has just 5,009 actual miles.
