1989 Toyota Eagle GTP Mk II Navigation
A total of six GTP MK II sports racers were built and this is the fourth example constructed. It was driven by Juan Manuel Fangio during the 1990 and 1991 season and earned him five overall victories including four during 1990 (at Heartland Park, California GP, and San Antonio GP) and at Watkins Glen in 1991.
After its racing career concluded with AAR, it was sold to privateer Dennis Aase. During later ownership, the car was on display in the Museo Fangio in Argentina.
In early 2015, the car was offered for sale at auction in non-running condition. The purchaser had the car restored by Canepa with the work completed in 2017.By Daniel Vaughan | Jan 2022
