1956 Oldsmobile Super Eighty-Eight Navigation
The 1956 Oldsmobile Super Eight-Eight continued to be the company's best-selling vehicle, with 179,000 examples finding buyers. The Super Eighty-Eight was available in five bodystyles, including a 2- and 4-door sedan, a 2- and 4-door Holiday Hardtop, and a convertible. Power was from an overhead valve V8 engine displacing 324 cubic-inches and offering 240 horsepower. Both the Eighty-Eight and the Super Eighty-Eight rested on the same wheelbase platform, while the Ninety-Eight larger at 126 inches.
