The supercharged S (Sport) type was the engineering brilliance of Ferdinand Porsche with a 6.8 liter high performance engine. It lead into the SS and SSK models used as factory team race cars. French coach builder Jacques Saoutchik built what many thought was the most beautiful design for these outstanding S model Mercedes-Benz cars. His design featured a Vee windshield, German silver trim, radical fender design, a torpedo body and a most exotic lizard-skin interior.

This Mercedes-Benz 680S was originally owned by Parisian Vicome de Rivard. He received ownership from Daimler Benz on July 13th or 1928. Eventually the car came to the United States and was owned for over the past 50 years by a private collector until purchased by its current owner.
