1954 Cisitalia Model 33 DF

Designed by Aldo Brovardne, this car was built in Racconigi, Italy. It is based on Fiat 1100 mechanical components and therefore designated Tipo 33 DF (Derivator Fiat). At the time of production, CISITALIA (Compagnia Industriale Sportiva Italia) was operated by Carlo Dusio, son of CISITALIA founder Piero Dusio. About 15 of these models are believed to have been produced, including one Spyder and only four cars are known to exist today. The aerodynamic styling, four-cylinder, 70 horsepower engine, and four-speed transmission allow it to achieve a top speed of over 100 mph. It is equipped with ventilated aluminum drum brakes and Borrani knockoff wire wheels. The name Volo Radente signifies 'Low Flying' in Italian. A complete restoration was started in 2008 by Daniele Turrisi of Bergamo, Italy. The interior is period-correct Lancia cloth, and the coachwork is aluminum. No evidence of bumpers was found.
