1983 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible Coupe

The Rolls-Royce Corniche Drophead Coupe was introduced in 1970 as a convertible variant of the Silver Shadow, and it would remain in production for 25 years. Each example was built to individual customer order at Rolls-Royce's Mulliner Park Ward coachworks in London, taking over a month to handcraft to high standards.

This example was in the care of Malcolm S. Pray Jr. Mr. Pray acquired this 1983 model out of Canada in 1993 and remained in his collection for 21 years. It has currently accumulated 28,642 miles, which are believed to be since new.

In 2009, the car was given a restoration. The body was stripped to bare metal, rust damage was repaired, and it was repainted in Pearl White. The interior wood was removed and refinished, new carpets were installed and the leather upholstery was re-dyed in tan to factory standards. The top was also rebuilt and recovered with the correct material.

Power is from an overhead valve V8 engine displacing 412 cubic inches and offering 220 horsepower. There is a three-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel disc brakes.
