1978 Arrows FA1 Navigation
Arrows built four examples of the FA1. This car, chassis number FA1-1, was raced by Riccardo Patrese at the 1978 Brazilian Grand Prix where he finished tenth. Rolf Stommelen also raced the car, scoring a ninth-place finish.

This was one of the cars handed over to Shadow after the court ruling. The car remained as a collection of parts for many years, as the car was not sent with the FA1 bodywork. When Nichols retired from racing, he kept the suspension and tubs from the Arrow cars. As he did not have the bodywork, he was not able to reconstruct the car. The bodywork was found in a pub in Northhampton, England, hanging from the ceiling. The Arrows team had given the bodywork to their favorite pub after the court ruling. A trade was able to be made for a set of Clay Reggazzoni Shadow bodywork. After many years, the FA1 was able to be reassembled.
