1931 Peerless Master 8 Coupe

The Cleveland-based Peerless Motor Company produced high-quality luxury cars from 1900 until 1931 when they ended car production and became a beer distribution company. The last Peerless cars were built in June of 1931 and a few that were still unsold at the end of the year were designated 1932 models. During these car production years, Peerless was considered one of the three best American luxury cars, along with Packard and Pierce Arrow. All Peerless cars are considered collectible but only three series are recognized as 'Classics' by the CCCA.

During 1930-31, approximately 1,274 units of the 'Master Series' were built. Fewer than 400 Peerless cars of all models can be traced worldwide. No other '31 sports coupe has been located in its original condition.

The current owner purchased this car from the late Jim Miller in 2010. Mr. Miller was known for his ability to find unique and original cars. Extensive research has failed to find a similar car. The second owner toured with this car many times and the current owner took it on a 1,200-mile 'caravan' tour in Oregon in 2012.
