1933 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Navigation
Very few Rolls-Royce Motor Cars were bodied by Fernandez et Darrin; this is one of only two Rolls-Royce Coupe Chauffeurs (Sedanca de Villes in Rolls-Royce parlance) built by the coachbuilding firm. It was completed at the Fernandez et Darrin Champs-Elysees workshop on April 26, 1933, and delivered to the first owner, S. Roche of London. It features typical Fernandez et Darrin door handles and a pair of unusually short running boards. Launched in 1929, the Rolls-Royce 20/25 was conceived and built to the same exacting standards as its larger Phantom II stablemate. Developed more or less side-by-side, the two models shared many improvements during their respective lifetimes including thermostatically controlled radiator shutters and pedal-operated chassis lubrication.
