OTAS- Officina Transformazioni Automobili Sportive is a product of Automobili Lombardi Works in Vercelli, Italy, near Torino. Carrozzeria Lombardi made a living by building and selling a series of cars based on the chassis of the Fiat 850. This car is one of 65 OTAS imported by John Rich Motors in Glendale, California. John Rich imported these cars equipped with an engine size of less than 50 cubic inches, so they would not need to meet U.S. emission standards. After the Grand Prix came the FL1, a mid-engine two-seater. Unfortunately, the FL1 would ultimately be the company's demise, and Lombardi was out of business by 1976.
The 820cc 4-cylinder engine produces 52 horsepower.
